Guidelines for Presentations

The IWAEM'23 is an Hyflex workshop (on-site and live online) which will be held from 9:00 to 18:00 Japan time (UTC+9) on November 24 (Fri.) and 25 (Sat.), 2023. You can select preferred presentation style, Oral or Poster, when you submit an abstract.

Oral Presentation (On-site)
Please prepare the slides using PowerPoint and so on. You can display your slides on a screen on-site. The time allocated for each oral presentation is 20 minutes including about 5 minutes discussion.

Oral Presentation (Online)
Please prepare the slides using PowerPoint and so on. Zoom is used as a platform for the online presentation. We would like you to share the slides for audience via Zoom. We ask that all presenting authors join the Zoom room at least 10 minutes before the session begins. When you enter the room, please confirm that your name is displayed as follows: Speaker's name (affiliation), e.g., Jikken Rikigaku (Xxx University) The links to Zoom meeting rooms will be provided to all registered authors before the Workshop.

Poster Presentation (General) and the Special Poster Session by Students of College of Technology (On-site)
Please prepare a printed poster (vertically long A0, 84.1 cm in width and 118.9 cm in height). Your poster is posted on the wall of the venue. You need to explain your research in front of the poster within about 5 minutes during the session. We would like to ask you to bring your laptop computer and to save the electronic file of the poster on it. During the poster session, you will share the poster file for online audience via Zoom.

Poster Presentation (General) and the Special Poster Session by Students of College of Technology (Online)
Please prepare a printed poster (vertically long A0, 84.1 cm in width and 118.9 cm in height) and send it to the Organizing Committee. Your poster is posted on the wall of the venue. Zoom is used as a platform for the online poster presentation. We would like you to share the poster for audience via Zoom. We ask that all presenting authors join the Zoom room at least 10 minutes before the session begins. When you enter the room, please confirm that your name is displayed as follows: Speaker's name (affiliation), e.g., Jikken Rikigaku (Xxx University) You need to explain your research in front of the poster within about 5 minutes during the session. The links to Zoom meeting rooms will be provided to all registered authors before the Workshop.

Workshop Style

Hyflex (some participants at a physical venue, others joining online from different locations at the same time). This type of presentation involves both face-to-face and online events regardless of presentation styles (Oral or Poster).

Venue

The on-site location is Osaka Umeda Campus, Ryukoku University.

Special Poster Session for Students of Colleges of Technology

The Workshop will make plan to have the special poster session presented by students of colleges of technology in the afternoon of November 25, 2023. All presenters in this session have to submit English abstract (300-500 words). You also need to prepare one-page poster in English for the Hyflex meeting. Details will be announced on this Workshop website: https://jsem.jp/IWAEM23/. No registration fees are required for the participants of this poster session.
